Subject: Special announcement  

Good morning,
It is with extremely mixed emotions but today I submitted my
resignation as Associate of 10-4.  I have enjoyed working with you these
last 2 years, we have made tremendous gains and faced many challenges
together. As I move on to new opportunities, let me once more say, if we
err on the side of kids we can't be too wrong, I encourage each one of
you always to remember why we became educators and to continue making
the necessary changes needed to ensure that each student is successful.
Let me close with two platitudes.  If kids don't learn what I teach then
teach them how they learn and you can't teach kids to care what you
teach until you teach them you care.  You're a very special bunch and I
will miss each of you.  I'll be here for the rest of the month so it
will give me an opportunity to say good bye more personally.  I'm sure
our path will cross again, best wishes always and thank you for what you
do every day, Dr.J
