To the friends of CCSD District 10:
The Charleston County School District has scheduled a series of
community meetings to receive comments regarding its proposed FY2006
budget. Our local forum will take place Wednesday, June 8, at
5:30 PM in the West Ashley Intermediate School Auditorium, 721 Wappoo
Road.
As I understand it, we will receive information regarding both the
general operating funds budget and the broad-brush budget for capital
projects. But no firm plans have been made regarding any specific
building projects or major renovations for FY2006. I
think CCSD wants to wait until the proposed budget is actually funded
before beginning discussions regarding specific capital projects to
move forward on.
